This policy applies to Soply Google Shopping Feed, a Shopify app operated by Soply. It describes the app’s use of information when a merchant connects a Google account and uses Google Merchant Center features. For this public website itself, see our website privacy information.
Information the app uses
The app uses your Shopify store domain and the product, variant, inventory, image, locale, and market details needed to build and manage your selected feed. It also stores app settings, sync activity, and support information you send us.
When you authorize Google access, the app receives a Google OAuth authorization token for Merchant Center access. It stores the refresh token in protected form, along with the Merchant Center account and API data source you select. It reads account and data source details, product processing status, and issue information returned by Google. The app does not ask for your Google password.
How Google data is used
Soply Google Shopping Feed uses the Google authorization you grant to discover Merchant Center accounts and data sources you can access, submit and update the products you place in scope, and retrieve processing, review, and issue status. Background synchronization may continue while the connection remains active. The app uses Google data to show these results to your store’s authorized users and to help diagnose feed problems.
Sharing and optional AI features
To provide the feed, the app sends selected product and market information to Google Merchant Center through the Google Merchant API. Shopify supplies the store information used by the app. Hosting and infrastructure providers process information needed to run the service.
If you choose an optional AI assistance feature, relevant product text, product images, or Merchant Center issue details may be sent to our AI service provider, xAI, to generate suggestions. AI suggestions are for review by your team; they do not mean that Google has approved a product. The app does not send your Google OAuth token to the AI provider.
Storage, access, and choices
The app stores the connection and operational records needed to keep the selected feed working and to show sync and issue history. Access is restricted to authorized store users, Soply personnel who support the service, and service processes that operate the app. You can revoke Soply’s access to your Google account in your Google Account settings. Revoking access stops future authorized Google API requests, but it does not by itself delete information already stored by the app or remove products already submitted to Merchant Center.
To request access, correction, or deletion of app data, email support@soplyapp.com and include the Shopify store domain. We will verify the request and explain what can be removed, including any records we must retain for service, security, or legal reasons. If you are a customer of a merchant, contact that merchant about your personal data first.
