A merchant sees enough coffee beans and mugs in Shopify to make several gift boxes. The bundle still shows zero available. The reason can be that the components are split across locations, while each kit needs a complete set of components at one location.

Illustrative scenario: The quantities are a troubleshooting example, not a real merchant's inventory.

Compare stock by location

One gift box needs 1 bag of beans and 1 mug.

Neither location can supply both components. The bundle's component-based availability is therefore zero, even though the store has both kinds of items somewhere in its network. Adding 8 and 6 across locations would incorrectly assume that one box can be assembled from two separate locations.

Decide how the store will fulfill the kit

If staff will ship complete boxes from location A, the mug stock has to be available at A. For example, after a real transfer of 3 mugs from B to A is reflected in Shopify inventory, A has 8 beans and 3 mugs and can support 3 complete boxes. This example does not imply that changing a display setting moves physical stock. The Shopify location quantities must reflect where the components can actually be picked.

In Soply, open Bundles / Kits, check the component variants and required amounts, then inspect Location breakdown. Review each component's stock at each participating location. If the bundle uses MIXED mode, a tracked bundle sales variant can impose an additional stock cap at that location.

Confirm the result

After correcting the underlying location stock or bundle configuration, refresh the bundle availability and test a cart quantity the fulfillment team can serve. If the calculation still looks unexpected, inspect the bundle and component snapshots for a recent transfer, sale, or stock update. A total across locations does not by itself prove that one location can fulfill an order for that total quantity.

Make it your own

Real results depend on your products, stock, markets, store settings, and test conditions. Verify the setup in your own store.
