When a bundle's available quantity changes unexpectedly, inspect the bundle calculation history and then the relevant component snapshots. Together they can show whether an order, Shopify inventory update, or location change affected the result.
Review the bundle history
Find the bundle in Bundles / Kits and open its Snapshots. Set a date range first, then narrow the list by source type, order source, location, or order ID. Open a record to check the quantity change and its details.
Source types can include Shopify sync, inventory level updates, order consumption, cancellation restores, return restocks, location transfers, manual adjustments, and system corrections. Interpret a source together with its time, order, and quantity change.
Trace a component
If the calculated kit count is lower than expected, open Component Snapshots for the relevant component. Check its variant, location, and recent changes. Compare bundle and component records over the same time period or order ID to find the event that occurred first.
For example, a kit that requires two mugs can fall from two complete kits to one at a location when mug stock drops from five to three. The final bundle quantity still depends on every component and the selected inventory mode.
If the component stock looks right but the bundle remains at zero, use the multi-location bundle guide to check whether one location has every component. In MIXED mode, also check the bundle sales variant's Shopify stock.
Use a test product or cart to check the outcome before applying this setup across your store.
