How to Export Soply BOM Recipes to CSV

Export a CSV to inspect or back up the usage relationships between raw materials and product variants. It preserves product-binding information, but it is not a complete backup of a multi-level BOM tree.

Export the recipes

1. On Raw Materials, open the menu and choose Export BOM Recipes.
2. Export all recipes or specify the variant SKUs you need.
3. If useful, filter LEAF and INTERMEDIATE materials, and choose whether to include bindings without an associated product.
4. Review the export summary, download the CSV, and spot-check variant SKUs, materials, units, and quantities.

An unresolved variant can have a blank SKU in the export. Identify or fill in those variants before migration so a later import does not match the wrong product.

Understand the export's scope

The CSV contains recipe and product-binding records. It does not include parent-child material relationships in a multi-level BOM. When moving to another environment, import the CSV and separately review and rebuild each sub-assembly's components. Import can replace existing bindings on affected products and change Shopify inventory, so read the CSV import guide and confirm its preview first.
