Soply can show different messages when a customer requests too many units of one item or when items in the cart compete for the same stock. Adjust the wording for your store languages so customers know how to change their cart.

Edit the two message types

  1. Open Inventory rules and choose Customize Error Messages.
  2. Review Single Item Insufficient and Cart Item Conflict separately.
  3. Edit the default message or add a version for a language used by your store. Each message has a 500-character limit.
  4. Save, then test a single-item overage and a conflict involving shared material stock in a cart. Check the rendered text in each language.

Available placeholders are {available}, {requested}, {product_title}, {variant_title}, and {conflicting_variants}. Keep the braces and names exactly as written; Soply replaces them when displaying the message. For example: Available: {available}. You requested: {requested}. When a language has no custom text, the app uses fallback wording. Check the fallback before deleting or resetting a translation.

Avoid promising a restock date or guaranteed checkout in the message; the result describes current validation only. If buyers see no message at all, first check whether validation is active using the cart and checkout validation guide.

Keep going

Use a test product or cart to check the outcome before applying this setup across your store.
